North Dakota is a "Winter Wonderland", with so much to offer. If there is info you would like to see posted , about anything to do with outdoor recreation, winter recreation, hunting, fishing, e-mail us here and we will do are darndest to get it posted.Scattered throughout North Dakota, cross country ski trails are designed and groomed for the novice skier to the advanced pros. There is something for everyone here, once the winter season is upon u. For instance we have Lake Metigoshe, Icelandic, Cross Ranch, and Turtle River State Parks, these are just a few of the more popular areas for cross country skiing. Snowshoeing, hikers, and pets must stay clear of all groomed trails. When the cross country season gets underway, after we get enough snow, we will have weekly reports on trails and weather. So, bookmark this page and when the cross country season arrives, come back and visit. North Dakota has 3,300 miles of groomed snowmobile trails, and another 500 miles of ungroomed trails. There are 17 trails that the Parks and Recreation, Snowmobile North Dakota, and many of the local clubs, keep groomed for the snowmobile enthusiasts.
